You’ve landed on my website, blog or Instagram page… but who even is Suzie Booth?

Suzie Booth - counsellor, psychotherapist, therapist, couple's counsellor, supervisor, Horsham

Well, let me talk you through who I am and how I might be able to help you…

I am a qualified counsellor, couple's therapist and clinical supervisor working in Horsham, West Sussex and online.  I have almost 15 years’ experience counselling clients and a accredited by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I have a Master's degree (MSc.) in Integrative Therapy and Bachelor's degree (Bsc.) in Psychology & Philosophy. I have trained further and earned a Certificate in Couple's Counselling and Diploma in Counselling Supervision. I have also undertaken training in facilitating groups.

I trained in an integrative model of therapy, which means I have knowledge of the main theories of therapy (person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural) and bring them together to create a relational way of working. I also incorporate ideas of existential philosophy.

I work with many different issues including anxiety, stress, depression and specialise in working with relationships and working with parents who are struggling to enjoy parenting. I am also a specialist rainbow baby and infertility therapist, accredited by the Foundation for Infant Loss.

I have been running SB Counselling for almost 10 years and also have experience working for a young person's counselling service, subcontracted by the NHS where I counselled, assessed and oversaw referrals, triaging and liaising with CAMHS and other professionals. I also worked for 10 years at a local counselling service as an EAP therapist and as their New Projects Director where I oversaw external and EAP contracts.

I love understanding how people work and helping them to make sense of themselves and their stories. I really believe that making our experiences and processes conscious, means we are able to choose to do things differently and move forward in more considered and empowered ways. I love my job.
